We recommend that for the microdermabrasion machine
which you end up choosing to purchase, you first should go to the
FDA website and check to see if it is FDA approved. A sad fact about
our industry is that many machines do not go through the rigorous
FDA approval process that certifies for safety and all governmental
health regulations that apply. This group of machines that does
not have FDA approval are not just limited to the cheaper or foreign
models, but also include some of the more expensive machines in
the market today.
When someone purchases a machine that does not have FDA approval,
even non-medical grade versions, it exposes the buyer to multiple
legal and health/safety hazards.
The DiamondSkin machine has been approved by the
FDA, Health Canada, and the European Union Regulatory Council. Please

approval: FDA
Approval
We suggest that you should look up on the FDA website the status
of the machine you are researching. Some machines are not even listed
with the FDA, let alone approved.
Go to www.fda.gov/search.html
in order to look for a machine's FDA status.
You can read an FDA warning letter to a manufacturer without proper
FDA approval by clicking
here.
Please note that FDA approval alone does not mean that you can
go ahead and use any type microdermabrasion machine. Because of
State regulations, you have to purchase a microdermabrasion machine
that is allowed by your State health regulatory board.
Many States have begun to limit the use of Aluminum-Oxide to Dermatologists
or Plastic Surgeons only.
However, the AH-20 Esthetician grade version of the DiamondSkin
is approved by all State regulatory boards because it is crystal-free
and therefore, much safer to use. The AH-10 is our medical-grade
version designed for use by Physicians only.
