By age 35, almost 50% of the skin’s ability
to consume and retain oxygen has been impaired. Less Oxygen results
in more wrinkles, fine lines, and dull looking skin. The DiamondSkin
helps to resolve this problem and is also useful as a prep for plastic/aesthetic
surgery (e.g.: facelifts, collagen surgery, etc...)
The DiamondSkin produces an allotropic form of
Oxygen that can penetrate the skin better than oxygenated crèmes
and has the ability of killing harmful bacteria. Because oxygen
is introduced to the skin at the cellular level, it bonds to red
blood cells, providing additional strength to the collagen and elastin
fibers, which in turn will helps improve the elasticity of the skin.
When the operator turns on the Oxygen function of the DiamondSkin
system, you will smell the cleaner decontaminated airflow leaving
the DiamondSkin wand.
The oxygen oxidizes the oily sebum found inside the pores, helping
to eliminate the oil as a food source for bacteria. Since bacteria
that normally live on the skin also play a role in acne development.
The bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes are responsible for
causing acne. These bacteria produce substances that cause redness
and irritation (inflammation). They also make enzymes, which dissolve
the sebum (oil from oil glands in the skin) into irritating substances.
These substances also make the inflammation worse.
"Never need to buy oxygen by the tank
as the DiamondSkin
concentrates ambient air"
After
the microdermabrasion procedure, you can turn up the oxygen
flow in order to give your client a complete "Oxygen
Facial". Simply detach the blue tubing from the Diamond
wand and place into the diffusion mask. You can leave the
mask on your client for 5-10 minutes and allow them to have
a "mini oxygen bath".
In addition, when dealing with tough acne scar using a
coarse Diamond wand, the client may feel that part of their
skin irritated due to the deep exfoliation necessary in
order to effectively treat the scar tissue. Just raise the
wand a couple of inches away from the affected area, and
increase the oxygen flow leaving the wand. Normally, this
is set to a low level when the wand is up against the skin.
However, you can quickly cool down while simultaneously
rehydrating the client's treated skin by increasing the
oxygen flow
